The residence began as an empty lot and became one of Immedia’s ‘from the ground up’ projects – as they were a part of the process from initial home construction all the way through the implementation of high-grade security and audio/visual technology. This Mediterranean style home located on a Phoenix, Arizona golf course encompassed 6000 square feet, two stories, and a spa. The client was looking to make a giant step forward in upgrading their home to provide ease-of-use and more technological capabilities. The clientwas looking for an industries best AV company to come into their home and provide unparalleled audio, video, and security system planning and implementation to their home. Immedia was tasked to conceptualize and executed a plan that incorporated everything the client outlined for their home. Similar to other projects Immedia has been a part of implementation came while the house was being built so that posed an additional obstacle. Nonetheless, Immedia overcame the challenge and helped produce this technology-rooted Mediterranean home.
With the size of the home providing so many options for technology additions, the client set out to implement a display system, distributed audio and video, control systems, and even a fully integrated security system. Each space has been given a unique and powerful set of tools for the client to access. The homes display, control, security, and distributed audio systems work together flawlessly to provide the client with simple + effective management and usage. RTI control systems were programmed by Immedia specifically for the home and included an 8x8 matrix audio switcher with a built-in sixteen channel amp. This helped provide distributed audio throughout the entire home. Immedia’s programming made it possible for the client to use an Apple iPad as the primary remote control for the control system and could control all aspects of the home including the security system, display system, and distributed audio. Within the garden and master bedroom, GE security panels were placed for the client that included a BUS extender to increase its capacity and a Smart Power Supply. This security system also included low-profile motion detection in every room in the home, indoor and outdoor.
Highlighting the individual rooms specifically – each space in the home provides different capabilities. Distributed video was achieved through Altona’s HDMI transmitters with CAT5 and gave each room with a display the ability to view the same content. Through the use of four (4) Lean in-wall speakers, one (1) Leon in-wall subwoofer and a plethora of Sonance in-ceiling speakers audio is effortlessly distributed through all areas of the living space. Every room has something special about it but the three rooms that stand out the most are undoubtedly the Great Room, Master Bedroom, and Recreation Room. Each of these three rooms has RTI system control through Apple’s iPad, stunning displays, and high-quality sound. First, the Great room contains a 65” Viera 3D HDTV that communicates directly with both the fully sealed Leon in-wall subwoofer and the four outlying fully sealed Leaon in-wall speakers as well. This pair of high-performance audio + video technologies ties this room together to indeed make it a ‘Great Room’. Similarly, the Recreation Room contains an identical 65” Viera 3D HDTV in addition to two (2) 50” 3D HDTVs and Sonance in-ceiling speakers. In comparison to the Great Room the Master Bedroom contains a 55” Viera 3D HDTV with four (4) HDMI inputs.
Following the client’s request, Immedia experts were able to transform this home into something great; an indication that Immedia stays true to remaining world-class and among the top AV providers in the Southwest US.
