Immedia & Santa’s Sak

Ever wonder how Santa does it all? If you’ve been following our posts these last few weeks you now know – he has help! Lots and lots of help from amazing organizations like Santa’s Sak. This year we wanted to get involved, so we skipped giving out corporate gifts and decided to give joy and hope to foster kids in the phoenix area instead. Here are all the details…

Why Santa’s Sak

Santa's Sak was established 10 years ago by local businessman, John Orsak. His mission was (and still is) simple – “to deliver toys to kids that are in group homes, are recent refugees or in any other time of need during the holidays”. He “coordinates, shops, wraps and delivers the toys directly to the homes.  100% of the donations go directly to the kids.”

The first year it was just 10 kids; by the end of last year Santa’s Sak had served HUNDREDS of kids! Even with this year of COVID, John and his supporters will make it happen again by bringing 450+ children gifts they never expected to receive. These are kids that not only wish for toys. Many of them are hoping for basic necessities like clothing, bed sheets, hygiene kits, and haircuts.

Immedia’s Part

When it came time to put together our 2020 holiday gifting plans, it just seemed like the wrong year to be sending out wine and cheese baskets. We knew there was something more impactful we could do. Our owner, Jeff Emmons, made a call, and the partnership with Santa’s Sak was born.

Up first was meeting with John to understand the needs of the program and its recipients. Since everything John does is grassroots, there was much important work to be done. Immedia committed to sponsoring nearly 130 children ranging from 0-18years in three foster homes as well as one church that serves the foster community.

Once we received the commission, we couldn’t wait to get started. The entire Immedia organization was all in. There was zero interest in simply making a monetary donation, everyone wanted to be involved with everything! So, we made shopping lists, hit the stores, wrapped multitudes of presents and delivered packages in-person (safely and socially distanced, of course).

In total, nearly 300 employee hours have been voluntarily contributed by our team members. The best part, we know this is just the beginning. We’ll definitely be back next year, ready to take on even more!

What Can You Do?

It’s not too late to get in on the giving. There are a few you can be involved:

1. Drop off or mail checks made to “Santa’s Sak” – 3131 E Camelback Road Suite 318 Phoenix, AZ 85016

2. Make a donation online via PayPal – they can be sent to Santas.sak@gmail.com

3. Contact us here at Immedia. We’ll be happy to facilitate an introduction directly with John at Santa’s Sak.

We’re so grateful to John for his vision. Santa’s Sak is more than a charity, it’s a way to change lives. For us, being a participant has been the highlight of not only our holiday season but our entire year!
